Our past dominance at the Adobe Design Achievement Awards continues to look promising with a long list of semi-finalists from both our undergraduate and graduate programs.
Kevin Paolozzi (MDes 2011) was recently awarded the Cranbrook Purchase Award for his custon typeface entitled Parvenu.
Albert Ng, graphic designer and long-time instructor in the department was recently commissioned to illustrate the gateway of the Mississauga Chinese Centre.
It’s been a very busy month for faculty member Albert Ng. Since helping Canada Post with the recent launch and autographing of the Chinatown Gates stamps, Albert has travelled to Australia to lecture and exhibit our student work at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, and exhibition organized by York University faculty member Wendy Wong, who is currently a Visiting Associate Professor member at Swinburne University’s Faculty of Design.
It has been an exciting journey of growth through practice, experimentation and collaboration. Please join us at the York Sheridan Design graduation show as we share the work of our 2013 graduates and celebrate a promising future.
